My hope for you--

My Sweet Connor, Today you turn two-- in 24 short months I have witnessed a newborn, who didn't want to open his eyes to see the world around him, grow into a toddler, who can't stop exploring and finding new things to be curious about.  You are a miraculous little being who can make us pull our hair out with your stubborn ways but yet make us melt when you shrug your shoulders, tuck your head and say "sowry".  You can make us laugh when we should be upset. You love to explore your surroundings. You tend to look for the most dangerous thing and go for it. You are fearless. Yet, you are careful. You know when you should use caution and when you should listen to mommy and daddy for instructions. Even though you don't always follow them. My hope for you is that you never lose the caution or that curiosity. My hope for you is that you keep your sweet smile and adorable giggle which brings us so much joy. It's a beautiful mess :-)

In 8 weeks (give or take) we will welcome a little lady into THE WORLD'S MESSIEST HOUSE-- okay a total pregnant chick over exaggeration but that is how I currently feel. Let's work from the ground up-- Basement-- once somewhat organized has become a land mine of a mess. A serious stressor for Kyle and I as we have too much crap to even try to fathom. A year later and we are still sorting and organizing and finding things we didn't know we had. To get to the washing machine or dryer I have resorted to begging my husband to do laundry since I likely will become entrapped in the boxes and mess that leads to the room and deliver Emilee there. Again, exaggeration but at the bare minimum I will likely twist an ankle. The stairway is still covered in spackle and dust that the contractors used to "finish" the basement.
