From Baby Kicks to Toddler Tantrums

This is my daily life. Toddler tantrums have taken over this past week and I am slowly losing my patience with these "Terrible Two's" even though we have 3.5 months until we turn TWO! When we went to Connor's 18 month check up the doctor said he entered them early. Yippee. So they should leave early too, right?! I can only hope. As I type this my child is screaming bloody murder down the hall because he doesn't want to nap. Of course, he doesn't even though he slept like crap and woke up at 5:45 this morning. But then we get those moments of "let-me-scream-like-someone-is-murdering-me" out of the way and he is sweet and cuddly. And all in that time I forget that there is a tiny human growing in my belly because she is so mellow. LISTEN little one---- don't lose that mellowness. This mama begs of you to please not lose the calm disposition you already have in utero. Although she is strong, she kicks like her brother did when he was playing ninja i...

Breaking the Trend <3

It took all weekend for it to finally sink in that we would be adding a little girl to our family in the fall.  Let me take you back to to Friday at 8am. Kyle and I were driving to the doctors office in an elated- "I can't wait to see if we broke the trend" but yet still anticipating that it would be a boy. After paperwork and 15 minutes past our appointment time we were taken back to the room and got to see the baby. The technician did measurements and the head and feet and legs and then paused and said "you have yourself a little girl..." SAY WHAT?!" We froze. We broke it. I seriously have never been so quiet in my life. At the same time my heart rate increased and I realized that the family was going to be just as excited as we were. The measurements were completed and the doctor came in to say that the baby looked beyond healthy and that I had to do a follow up at 30 weeks because of our clotting disorder and their recommendations were somewhat differen...

I have zero idea where time has gone but this pregnancy is flying by! Getting Creative on a Weekly Basis!

A Looooong time ago I tried implementing a weekly schedule for C and I. There are days that being a stay at home mom are a challenge for me. I admit it. Once I moved to Flordia I left behind my friends, family and social life I had in college. **let me clarify my social life was basically whoever stopped to talk to me in the mail area or the Jays Nest or if we had a group project. I have always been a loner and self reliant. So I felt like once C was born I lost all my ability to have a social life. And now with a second kiddo on the way I definitely feel like my adult interaction is dwindling. Why do I state all of this? Well, as Connor is getting older I am finding that we can go do more things with him. A schedule isn't necessarily a bad thing and most of the time we stick to a routine daily. So upon my Pinterest exploring one day I found a pin for weekly summer routines. Make something Monday- my kiddo seriously eats all crayons and paper within 2 seconds of seeing it. We have ...
