Well two months old for Connor means smiles and giggles, laughs and strange noises. He has officially learned what the social smile is. When daddy or mommy smile, laugh or talk to Connor you can't wipe the smile off his face. He loves to get his belly tickled, attacks of kisses, sticking out his tongue and throwing up on daddy. Connor still takes multiple naps throughout the day. Normally a nice long one in the morning, then some small catnaps through the day and a long one in the evening. Finally settling into sleep at about 8pm. Normally he will stay asleep on mommy or daddy's chest until we go to bed which requires an additional feeding at around 10pm and sleeping until he wakes up. For three days in a row he slept from 10:30-4:30, back to sleep until 6:30. Then last night it was 10:30-2:30, back to sleep until 6:30. No matter what, it has been a dream getting 8 hours of sleep no matter when Mommy wakes up. Connor also love going outside. He has been to the beach this month with mommy, the dog park with Rango, mommy and daddy. and on many walks around the neighborhood. Once he gets into the stroller it's smiles and eventually a nap. His favorite food so far is still milk and will be for another few months. We have had to retire his neborn clothes, and most of his 0-3 month clothes. He is starting to get too long for his 3 month clothes but the 3-6 month are too wide. Today we found out that Connor can sit in his bumbo like a big boy! When did he get so big and strong?! ( When I ask him this he just smiles and smiles). OH yeah- he also found his thumb.... no more pacifier for him :-/.
Connor had his 2 month check up and he is doing absolutely wonderful! He is 11lbs 13 oz (53rd percentile for his age), 23 in long (56th percentile for his age) and his head circumference is normal. The shots he recevied were not fun. Connor screamed his head off and was cranky the rest of the night and some the next day. However, he is back to himself today!
That was Connor's update- everyone else is doing wonderful. Kyle has been inport most of the month which has been great. Him and Connor have been able to have some Daddy-Son days, you know just the guys hanging out.
And Me, well, I'm still trying to figure out this whole staying at home thing. I love spending time with my son, but the days are passing so quickly. I have finally figured out a daily schedule that "sometimes" gets followed based on Connor's mood. I have a long list of things I would love to get done. However, they rarely do unless it's a weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next duty station will have a school nearby with my masters program so I can go back to school and work towards completing a higher degree while Connor is still young.
Now time for some picture bombing :-)
**p.s. the $20 is being placed in his college fund ;-)
