You know the feeling, the alarm clock goes off at 515, you realize it is Monday, groan and roll back over praying the alarm clock will just Go Back To Sleep! Then the realization that the alarm clock is really your child who WON'T just go back to sleep hits you and you groan LOUDER in hopes your husband will crawl out of bed but remember IT IS Monday so he will be going to work and lunches and coffee must be made, breakfast organized and finally thinking about all of this makes you sigh and crawl out of bed, Shuffle to the bathroom where the god awful bright light hits you harder than the morning wake up call.
That's the beginning of my Monday.
After attempting a cup of watered down coffee, subsequent of my attempts to clean the coffee maker, I organized a crappy breakfast and threw tuna into the lunch box. And then I crashed I to the couch for an hour of a movie that C paid zero attention to. All the while Kyle got ready for work and realized our sink had fallen from the countertop in the Kitchen and said basically to not be surprised when I hear a crash today. Great.
THEN C was exhibiting sleepy symptoms an hour before his typical nap time. I carried him up, read a story and left. An hour later he was still screaming bloody murder. I decided to run out and do errands to get him out of the nap mindset. I slid by McDonalds for a sweet tea and 2 hash browns: 1 for me and half for C (the other half just "disappears"). I finish my errands and get home and realize there was only ONE hash brown. Ooooo was I a grumpy mess. We split it in half and then I attempted putting C down for a nap. 20 minutes later, a success. I FINALLy was able to just sit and relax. Until I realized there was a mess in our bedroom from attempting to organize our new closet system. I worked on that and then talked on the phone for a little while and by this point C was up again. Lunch was next and even though my to do list is insane because I keep putting it off, I have finally succumbed to relaxing on the couch for an hour. Which is not necessarily relaxing considering C is busy throwing shoes around and chasing the dog which is a story in itself. It is1230 and I am ready for bedtime, mine not his!
And I end this Monday post as I hear the loud crash of Megabloks being emptied from the container all..over..the...floor. Tuesday is welcome to visit at any time!
