What. Was. I. Thinking?!?!? Holy moly it is cold. All. Over. The. US. 49 out of 50 states are literally at or below freezing temperatures. Is this what the dinosaurs felt like during the Ice Age? Thankfully, it will warm up by the weekend but I am refusing to go outdoors until these temps hit at least 32 degrees. In philly the temps are supposed to feel like -22 with windchill. That is just wrong. It's so cold the zoos actually brought in the polar bears! I'm just lucky enough I don't HAVE to go outside. The only perk to all of this is how nicely my wedding ring fit. Nice and loose and comfortable. Haha.... We have to find perks where they exist.
It has been almost a week since 2014 hit and so far it's been successful. We have been organizing and cleaning out for a more productive year. The office/playroom is almost organized (once a bookshelf gets hung and my desk organizer from amazon shows up. Which the crazy weather has delayed now almost 2 days.) Connor has his new room broke in and sleeping at night is a breeze. Nap times he still throws one hell of a fit and sleeps on the floor. The basement is on its way to a "man cave". And our closet is going to be organized once the organization unit arrives Wednesday!
Connor has decided 5:50 is the time he prefers to wake up. Like clockwork every morning. Which means this mama is crashing by 9pm unless it's a day daddy gets up and I can make it until 930! I really don't mind the early mornings and we realized his early to bed, early to rise situation is based on the fact that both Kyle and I were that way throughout childhood. Only on occasion do we sleep in or go to bed later than 10/11. (Midnight was hard to stay up for-- which is why I passed out for an hour before the new year haha). Even the days Kyle doesn't have work and let's me sleep in, I am up by 8am because I'm unable to sleep any longer. Oh the joys.
The rest of the week consists of more organizing and attempting to stay warm. Not too much is planned this month, which is welcomed considering our crazy schedules of November and December.
That's about it for now... I'm going to snuggle up with my blankets and Connor and watch some more dinosaur train! Stay warm my friends!!
