The title says it all for both Connor and I! This past week has been so BUSY! Over the weekend my father in-law and brother in-law visited Kyle and I. It was a blast! Full of such wonderful food that when I got my weight checked this week I had gained quite a few pounds. We ate at McGuire's on Saturday night, and of course if you have been to Pensacola you know you can't leave there without a Root Beer Float! We ate at Oyster Bar for lunch on Saturday and the Shrimp was Phenomenal! Friday night Kyle and I fixed steaks with some yummy sides. On Thursday night we ate at Hopjacks- a WONDERFUL pizzaria/bar with a friend from OCS who is attending flight school down here. As you can tell- food seems to be my big focus these days- luckily at my "20 week check-up" which is really my "19 week check-up" my weight was right on track!
So speaking of the check-up, everything went lovely! Connor's heart rate was steady at 156 bpm. For once he was holding still so we could get a good count! They began the belly measurements and I was right on track at 19 weeks! My doctor was very pleased with the progression thus far. Next Tuesday is the BIG Ultrasound (even though we already know the gender- I am still nervous because this is where they check for the health of the baby and for any deformities etc.)
I do know though that his little legs are working! At exactly 19 weeks (last night) I felt my first actual KICK! For clarification, before this I had felt flutters and movements that were very subtle. However, last night I was going to update my facebook page about how accomplished I felt for the day and BAM! I got a kick. At first I was wondering WTH is going on with my tummy. Then I realized it's Connor saying Hello! I couldn't help but smile all night long! I am anxiously awaiting the little soccer player to start "practicing" in my belly everyday!
Otherwise- things are going great. Not too much going on this week. A new dishwasher is getting installed today! YAY! And this weekend looks to be pretty relaxing- maybe even schedule that massage I won at Kyle's Christmas Party. I know my back would seriously be thanking me! In other news- 10 days until my trip back to Maryland for a week.
Speaking of the trip to MD- There has been baby shower invites mailed out. Please wait patiently for them to arrive. I know how hectic it has been for me- it's been about 20x as hectic for my sister and mom who are throwing the shower. So PLEASE wait patiently and all the informaiton that you need pertaining to date/time/gift registry will all be on there! If you have any questions feel free to ask them or shoot me a Facebook message!
Until next week! Oh yeah- here is the 19 week picture!
