When I think about 20 weeks, I think about the song by Bon Jovi. Needless to say all day I have been singing this tune in my head! Connor might come out singing this song! Well since last week:
1. Connor's crib set has arrived and 2/3 of it has been assembled. Also added in the nursery is the valance that I created and some store bought curtains. We ended up purchasing them due to the "blackout" effect so the baby can sleep better during they day time and also because of noise reduction.
2. My belly hasn't changed too much other than when I lay down. It sticks out a lot more.
3. Anatomy scan was today! It went really well. Connor cooperated with the technician in getting all the pictures she needed. He was being a little stubborn though with a picture of the nose and lips. Definitely Daddy's nose and Mommy's lips! I wish the pictures were 3D though so we could get a better prediction of his looks. But I guess that is all part of the surprise in July! Of course during the ultrasound he was kicking up a storm and my belly was popping all over the place. The technician was laughing so hard at him. I bet in April when Kyle comes home he will be able to feel the karate chops and kicks that Connor has been practicing! Otherwise the technician said it was an awesome scan and our baby is very photogenic. (NO CLUE WHERE HE GETS THAT FROM! Kyle and I both hate the cameras!) That is probably the last glimpse we get at the little guy until July. But only 20 weeks to go and I bet he will be growing up a storm!
4. I am preparing for the flight back to Maryland. On Saturday I am taking a lovely 6 am flight from Pensacola to Maryland to spend and awesome week with family and friends! I seriously cannot wait for the doctor to confirm that I can go (which will happen on Thrusday or Friday!) We can't think of any reasons why I shouldn't be able to but lord only knows! So that being said, Week 21 blog will be combined with week 22 and will be ABSOLUTELY LONG! so be prepared when I return! Because it will also include the BABY SHOWER! I cannot wait to see family and friends at the shower it's been about 6 months and 5 of them I have been pregnant!
I am so happy to have everything falling into place (other than my flat tire and need for new tires on the car... but that is a whole different story for the "Days from Hell" blog! Today was awesome. I got to watch our little man moving and kicking and punching for about 45 minutes. Below is the ultrasound picture, my 20 week picture!
By the way: Family and friends in Maryland: PLEASE RSVP to Jennifer Ward ASAP about the baby shower. She said she has only received a handful of RSVP's mainly through my mom. SO get that to her so she can get a count of who is coming! If you have any questions let me know or facebook her!
